Decorate Sugar Skulls – Hispanic Heritage Month Event
October 3 @ 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm
Rec Center – Student Activities Room
Sugar skulls represent a departed soul and are placed on altars and gravestones to celebrate the return of a specific loved one as part of Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). In this workshop you’ll learn more about the history and significance of the sugar skull tradition and decorate your own skull to keep.
Skulls will be on display in the BRCC Library until Oct. 15, then you may pick them up.
