Anatomy Placement Test

Anatomy Placement Test (APT) Information:

What: Anatomy Placement Test will be 50 multiple choice questions and students will have 75 minutes to complete the assessment.

Where: May be taken during testing hours in the Testing Center, or may be taken at the Waynesboro Outpost.

When: The test will be available beginning March 1, 2022.

How Often: Students may take the APT twice a month.

Remediation/Preparation: The Canvas Course for the APT contains review modules and practice tests to help the student review and prepare for the APT. Register for free access to self-study information and test information.

Inheritance

  • Identify the stages of meiosis
    • Define homologous chromosomes, independent assortment and crossing over
    • Explain the major differences between mitosis and meiosis
    • Explain how crossing over and independent assortment during meiosis contribute to genetic differences
  • Briefly explain basic patterns of inheritance, to include definitions of genes, alleles, homozygous, heterozygous, genotype and phenotype, autosomal dominant, autosomal recessive, and sex-linked traits.
